Bauer 5100 Helmet 2009 Review Hot

I like it. I really don't think it is heavy like some people. I have had it for about two seasons and have not had any problems with comfort or protection.

It is a decent helmet, I use it as a backup to my Easton S9. The only reason I don't love it is it has too much of a dome look to it. Fit and Function are top notch. I have several other helmets and this is definitely one of the better (comfort, fit, protection) ones I have owned. I would buy it again although I prefer the Easton.

I got this helmet due to the 4500 being discontinued, after wearing it on the ice for a few weeks, the fit really comes into its own as you don't realise you are waaring it. The helmet itself provides great ventilation and looks top notch. The size adjustment is also very simple as shown in the hockeyus video.

This is a great helmet feels really good after a few skates but at first it kind of hurts. Now after i have had it for about a month or so i couldn't go without it(obviously, its my helmet...duh). The vent ports actually work there not just there for show.

This helmet has a lot of things that many pro's look for in a helmet. It is light, looks good, good ventilation ports, protection is good because of the dual density foams inside. I like for example CCMs Memory Foam more than that traditional foam in it, but that is personal preference. Overall a good helmet, lower price and based on traditonal helmet concepts like the Bauer 4500 too. But the 5100 looks better than the 4500 and there are two different foams in it which i like more than just the typical one foam design.
Many Pros wear that helmet or the 4500 instead of wearing the 9500 helmet.

Comfortable, fits great and a pretty good price.
The helmet feels more like it wraps around my head compared to the Bauer 9500, Bauer5000 and RBK 8K, all of which have cracked both inside and out. Though not as light as the 8K, it is still relatively light.

got this helmet for free from my junior team, great helmet, people complained and said its uncomfortable at first when they put it on but once they wear it for a little bit theyll learn to love it. i gave it a 4 on durability because underneath the adjustment flips on the side of the helmet, the circle thing popped out and i had to replace it...other than that a great helmet

i have this helmet and it is awsome.it is really lite and vey comfotable

I haven't skated with it on yet but it is an amazing fit and feel. I love it!!
