CCM U+09 2009 Skates Review Hot

I am tremendously disappointed with these skates. First of all, the Vector boot offers surprisingly little protection from pucks. Secondly, although the heat-molding gave an excellent initial fit, they got sloppy after a few months of use. Worse yet, after 50 years of playing hockey, these are the skates that finally introduced me to "lace bite". AND they're literally falling apart after less than two years of moderate use. The tongue edge has ripped in a few places. Lace eyelets have fallen out. The holder rivets are rusting! I've never seen any of those things in any other skates I've owned. Except for an excellent toe cap, the material and build quality is absolutely horrible ... my old "backup skates" (CCM Tacks) look brand-new in comparison. Having dumped on CCM (and deservedly so), kudos to Pro Hockey Life for their excellent service. I'll be shopping there for skates - and not CCMs - in a few weeks. I've suffered enough.

These skates are so comfortable it's crazy. So far I've had these skates for about 3 months and there awesome, these are by far my favorite skates to date. I got these for $250 brand new from Hockey World. So happy with these.

I really like these skates. I got them last summer and they are still holding up really well. What i really liked about the skates was the U+ foam, after baking and using them at my next practice they felt great. My feet didn't hurt or anything, they felt like the breaking in process was completely avoided. I do recommend these skates for anyone who wants to buy them.

I dunno why the hockeyus guy gave it a 4 for weight. it is 30 grams lighter than the vapor 40 and 50 grams lighter than the x60 and he gave those 5s.

But w/e, switched from x60s to these since my feet hurt.

I just like the tuuk LS2 holder more. I put that on.

This skate feels great on your feet. The U foam feels amazing after baking, kinda awkward before. Once backed it feels like its part of your limb, the U foam holds your foot down nicely without your heel coming up or moving. This skate turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. Break in only took a few time on the ice. CCM makes great products. I thought about the Bauer x40 but fell in love with the CCMs.

I received U+ 09 skates (not the 2009 U+ Pro Reloaded, one skate model down from the top of the line CCM skates) as warranty replacement. Had them baked and molded using the FIT system, the U Foam is very moldable when heated. The skates are stiff, responsive, lightweight, and dare I say it - comfortable. Haven't played in them yet, so can't really comment on durability, but so far they've been great at public skates.

I received a pair of CCM U+ 09 skates (not the 2009 U+ Pro Reloaded) as warranty replacements. These are my first thoroughly modern skates. The customer service rep I spoke to highly recommended baking the skates prior to using them. I stuck my foot into them when they first arrived and didn't see how I could possibly skate in them. After getting them baked and molded using the FIT system, they are the first skates I've ever owned that didn't cause mid foot pain within minutes of tightening the skates. I'm completely sold on the thermo-moldable foam stuff they use throughout the inside of the skate. Very stiff, responsive and lightweight.

best skate i've used so far... definitely AWESOME!!
